FDG runs the lifecycle of document generation: template assembly via Framesoft Document Assembly (FDA), workflow, distribution and archiving. Any document type, not only contracts or term sheets. One generator, many document types
FDG supports the whole lifecycle of document generation: data capture, editing, workflow and archiving. New documents are created by inheriting and modifying existing structures. Operations that produce confirmations, notices, reports or client letters use the same generation, workflow and archive pattern as legal documentation.
Workflow, generation and integration
Data arrives from a third-party interface, manual entry, another corporate system, or a questionnaire that starts the process. Organisation-specific workflows notify users of new tasks, with overview screens, search, and administration of users, groups and profiles that follow the organisation. Approval covers the generation process, including insertion and versioning of external documents. Privileges are role- and user-based, and external authentication is supported. A matrix states which documents and approvals are mandatory or optional, and which distribution channel applies, by process and document type. A text-block configurator and form-assembly screens set up new process and data types. Templates are multi-language and assembled in FDA, with global styles. Generation can start from an internal or external request — a term sheet, KID, agreement or terms and conditions — and can take data from a sales pricer or a risk system. Server-side generation handles large documents in parallel, in PDF or Word, and can embed charts from live data. Negotiation tracks changes and comments. Archive and print-factory formats include PDF, TIFF, JPG and PostScript. Distribution channels — internal and external providers, corporate websites, exchanges, automatic email — are configurable, can run on a schedule, and the files can be encrypted. Excel export, configured reports and FDI cover search and analysis. Generated documents archive in FDM, and review can continue in FON.
