Framesoft Legal Matter Management (FLM) · Legal operations
Turn every matter into controlled action.
FLM gives Legal and Compliance one workspace for litigation, inquiries, investigations, complaints, subpoenas and audits — from first notice to closure, with Framesoft Artificial Intelligence (FAI) assisting intake, risk and reporting. Framesoft Document Management (FDM) and Framesoft Resource Management (FRM) are covered below.
Benefits
- Intelligent intake and triage
- Exposure, reserves and spend
- Legal hold and evidence with FDM
- Outside counsel collaboration
One matter, one record
People, deadlines, documents and financials sit on the matter. Configurable types and regional extensions keep a global operating model without losing local process.
Risk and money
Claims, probability, exposure, reserves, invoices and actuals roll up by entity, region or portfolio. KRIs highlight concentrations. FAI flags changing risk signals. Budget planning is compared with consumption, and financial matter risk is tracked on the same record.
The reporting cycle
FLM covers corporate legal reporting from the periodical request through regional and divisional initiation, matter creation and update by designated staff, local approval, quality check, consolidation and the generation of auditor, management and financial reports. Each matter can carry its own set of key risk indicators, with drill-down to that matter. Reporting includes standard reports, a most-important-matter report for the board, criteria lists, time series, and grouping by region, division or subsidiary. External counsel on a matter can be assessed from the same record. Deficient legal-risk reporting is itself an exposure; the cycle is built so Corporate Legal receives a checked, consolidated picture.
- Litigation and non-litigation
- Regulatory matters and subpoenas
- Internal investigations and complaints
- Compliance work such as audits and regulatory affairs
- Further matter types configured for the organisation
Day-to-day matter work
Matters are entered on standardized forms with a corporate core and a regional or divisional extension. Typical fields include keyword, executive summary, status, amount claimed or remedy sought, open and close dates, legal entity, business unit, budget and disclosure. Role-based assignment, tabbed related information, a full change history, copy and transfer, personal notes, Word, Excel and PDF export, and email reminders (once, or daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) sit on the matter. Related matters can be linked. Documents of any type are opened from the matter through FDM, and users can reach those documents without seeing restricted matter data. Time reporting and e-invoicing for external counsel run through FRM.
