Control · Template updates

See what a template change does to the documents.

Framesoft Documentation Verification (FDV) compares documents generated before and after a template change. Content, formatting and workflow issues are highlighted before the updated template is released. Framesoft Structured Products (FSP) and Framesoft Contract Repository (FCR) are covered below.

Benefits

  • Baseline versus regenerated test documents
  • Ignore patterns for text that is expected to change
  • Tracks template, XML import and workflow issues
  • Used inside FCR and FSP

A test suite for the template

After a template update, FDV regenerates the test documents and compares them with the baseline. The comparison covers content and formatting. Differences are highlighted so documentation can judge whether they are intentional. Text that is expected to change can be excluded with an ignore pattern. The template can be adjusted and the test run again until the update meets the quality bar. The same run tracks problems in XML import and in workflow processing.

Where it sits

FDV is integrated with the Framesoft solutions that generate documents, including FCR and FSP. A template change then does not silently alter term sheets, agreements or regulatory documents already in production.
